It was another win at British Soccer Camp again this year! This was Sean Eddie’s third year attending the week long camp and although things got off to soggy start on Monday, the rest of the week according to my Sonny Boy was “brilliant” (that’s English Ma for really really good-in case we didn’t know this.)

all ready to go to camp!

The coaches Andy and Joe were ready to greet the week and all the new campers on Monday morning upon arrival. Sean Eddie was in his soccer uniform and immediately mixed in with the other boys already in the club house. The boys were playing ping pong and checking out their new soccer balls while everyone was arriving and checking in.

Unfortunately, due to horrific weather camp was called early on Monday, right after lunch, but none the less, Sean Eddie still spoke about how they ran drills in the rain and only got off the field once it became unsafe with lightening in the distance.

Luckily the rest of the week was beautiful weather and lots of drills, scrimmages and endurance training was done.  Sean Eddie said his favorite activity besides listening to Andy and Joe talk due to their English accents was playing the world cup tournament.

Sean Eddie described to me that some of the drills were turned into popular video game premises, so that the boys would all stay engaged and interested in developing their skill sets.

Last morning of camp-the week goes quickly!

The last day of camp came so quickly this year. Sean Eddie really enjoyed getting to know the coaches, other players and learning new skills. Most of all he really loved being outdoors playing a sports he loves.
