My sonny boy Sean Eddie got a Himalayan Salt Lamp as a gift a few years ago from my Mom.  It’s been on his dresser ever since, serving as a soft light we use at night along side of his lava lamp.  So we have some experience with these pretty and unique lamps.

The Himalayan Salt Shop proudly offers a truly unique health and wellness product. Himalayan Salt Lamps have been popular in Europe for decades, but have only recently become known in the United States. These all-natural air purifiers, made of pristine pink Himalayan salt crystal, help clean the air in your home while also serving as a stunning, glowing home decor piece surely to strike up conversation.

A Himalayan Salt Lamp is a natural work of art that both beautifies and cleanses the home.

A Himalayan salt lamp starts its journey in the salt mines of the foothills of the Himalayan Mountain Range. These beautiful mountains, known for their superior height and including the tallest mountain in the world, Mount Everest standing at 29,029 feet, span 5 countries in Asia.  The Himalayan salt comes from the mine with the Highest quality salt – the Khewra Salt Mine in Pakistan. The salt is excavated from the walls of the salt mine in large chunks, then transported by dump truck to local factories of artisans waiting to carve the lamps by hand. After carving, the bottom of the salt chunk is cut flat and a hole is drilled in the center of the salt piece to accommodate a cord and light bulb that provides the heating source to allow the salt to warm and hence naturally create negative ions. Finally, a wooden base is attached to the flat bottom of the salt, thereby officially making it a Himalayan salt lamp.

We are looking forward to reviewing the Himalayan Salt Shop’s Salt Lamp.  And now our readers are getting a great discount on trying it out for themselves.  Go to www.HimalayanSaltShop.com and use code USFAMILY for 20% off.
