What a beautiful afternoon we spent at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.  The sun was shining, the sky was blue the Monster Energy could be felt all around us.  There were fans from two to eight-two and everything in between!

The gates opened at 9 am, and be prepared to shell out $30 to park, a bit steep in my opinion, but what can ya do.  The pits are open to the public starting at 9 am and then the morning is filled with qualifying heats for the 250 SX and the 450 SX.

A special thanks to my daughter Kristen for all the action shots above, she is my official photographer-great job honey!

We got there just in time for the main event and seriously there was so much action it was hard to know where to look.  There were high flying motorcycles all over the place.

The 250 SX main event roared around the track at 4:55 and was fifteen laps long with twenty-two riders, followed by the 450 SX which was twenty laps and twenty-two riders.  The races in between these main events were just as exciting the crowd was very interactive.  They had the Monster Girls in the crowd, giving away merchandise and tickets for next year, as well as lots of opportunities to tweet and get your view on the snapchat storyboard.

We had a great time and the kids enjoyed the show along with all the snacks.  You know when you are seven, its all about the snacks.  I will say that there was so much to see, it was a quite a while before he even thought to ask for them.

I’m sorry we missed the morning in the Pits, I think it would have been great to see the riders and their bikes up close, but alas Little League games must be coached and played.  Looking through the 2015 Monster SuperCross Yearbook, was fun.  The kids were picking out their favorite numbers and colors that the riders were wearing and seeing if they would win their races.

Missed it this year–not to worry they have a date for next year already.  Mark your calendars for April 30, 2016.  You can get Cross Club pre-sale tickets starting on May 4 at 10 am.  Visit www.supercrosslive.com/newsletter for more info and to sign up.
