Selfie – The Game Of Silly Expressions

Ok-so many of you know that I’m a Girl Scout leader and our troop consists of teen-aged girls.  If you have teens in your life you know how attached they are to their phones.  So in looking for a game that would peak their interest, I couldn’t resist trying out the Selfie Game with them.  Perfect combination, playing a fun game, using their phones and having a lot of laughs doing so!Selfie Game

Don’t worry if you don’t have a phone, the Selfie Game has its own frame, which we liked using as well as taking the selfies. The girls were being super silly, yeah this is where the laughs came in. The cards themselves were pretty funny for the most part and provoked great reactions.

Here’s what USAopoly says:  What does your Selfie Say? Find out with Selfie – The Game of Silly Expressions™! Draw a card, take a selfie, then watch as your friends and family guess your expression. The favorite guess gets a point and the player with the most points at the end wins. Make a silly face and SAY CHEESE because today is the day to play and share with #theselfiegame.

Selfie Game

We played four rounds and really got some crazy cards, I’m not sure what was funnier, the faces or the cards we thought matched most closely after the person revealed what they were trying to convey.

While the majority of the cards really were hysterical, I think it would be prudent for parents to review the Selfie cards as some of the question cards seemed a bit mature our players.  The Selfie – The Game Of Silly Expressions recommends ages thirteen plus to play.  My co-leader and I scanned the two decks of cards that we opened and pulled a few out that we thought may not have been appropriate for our troop meeting.  For example you are cornholio, you walked in on your parents doing it, you found out you were making out with your first cousin.

At a $14.95 price point, the Selfie – The Game Of Silly Expressions is one to great value.  Look what happened with the Selfie frame-after the game- it seems we got even sillier!!

Come now–that’s a real duck face selfie if I ever saw one!! Do you like taking Selfies?
