We got to be MARVEL AVENGERS!

July 14, 2014 in Best of Both, Family friendly, Family Fun, Kids, Review by MyBestofBothWorlds

We got to be MARVEL AVENGERS for a day!  Disclosure:  My Best of Both Worlds was provided with complimentary tickets to experience Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Exhibition at Discovery Times Square in order to facilitate a review.  No other form of compensation was received in exchange for this publication.  All opinions expressed are true and mine own and those of my family and we thought the being recruited as an agent was SUPER COOL!

If you and your kids love the Avengers like we do-you NEED to get over to Discovery Times Square it is more than just a museum.  Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Exhibition is just one of the great experiences currently open.  The Art of the Brick and Body Worlds are also on exhibit.  More to come on those….

Marvel Avengers Station Exhibition

Upon arrival as a probationary agent of the STATION- Scientific Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network you get issued an ID card as part of the security check-point.  There is no turning back now!

We each got our own card

We each got our own card

You use this card in all the areas, as the experience is totally interactive.  All new recruits are given access to the lab and shown a short orientation film outlining the expectations of new agents.

As a new agent you move through the areas to learn about all the Avengers classified files, studies and experiments.  The first room is simulated to see how you would measure up against Captain America.  There are physical challenges that test your strength and endurance as well as agility.

Needless to say there was a bit of competition going on in our family.

After you are found fit for duty, you can see what happens when your DNA is exposed to gamma radiation that Dr. Bruce Banner suffered.

Then it was on to see what Tony Stark feels like when he becomes Iron Man!!  I have to say this was MY FAVORITE area.  I love Iron Man, and I got to be just like him.  There was a cool station that allowed you to be just like Iron Man as he has the ability to control Iron Man with his eyes.

This amazing station, actually tracks your eyes and then simulates flight missions which you get to control with your eyes- UBER COOL. And yes I felt like a SUPER HERO!!!

Well if that wasn’t awesome enough, you got to simulate getting suited up like Iron Man.

You get to see the Iron Man Suit go onto you piece by piece. I won’t spoil what you can do, but let me assure you it was BIG TIME FUN!

Here’s one more sneak peek into another cool simulation, you can virtually control Iron Man’s hand.  Kristen (my trusted photographer-thanks for all the great photos honey).

Here she is making Iron Man’s hand make an I love you sign!

There’s so much more to do and see.

Create your own ions, exploring the universe, seeing all the Avengers equipment and suits. The list can go on and on.  I think my husband loved it just as much as the kids did.

And yes you or your kids can dress up to look like their favorite Marvel hero, you can wear your costumes to enhance your experience (just no masks to cover your faces).  My son brought his Captain America Shield.

Discovery Times Square is located at 44th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues.
