Pre-K graduation has come and gone

Pre-K graduation has come and gone.  I distinctly remember getting the school schedule and calendar of events back in September like it was yesterday.  I put Sean Eddie’s moving up date in the my blackberry thinking wow that’s so far away and yet Pre-K graduation has come and gone.

Weeks ahead of graduation Sean Eddie came home all excited that he was chosen by his teachers to recite a few lines about what they learned during the school year.  He had to talk about the Polar Bears and how their furry coat keeps them warm.

Sean Eddie reciting his lines!

I was super impressed that all of the children were able to get up in front of a pretty substantial crowd to use a microphone and recite their lines.  Much to my delight all the children had done a nearly life size self portrait of themselves hanging by their assigned seating.  I enjoyed looking at each and everyone of them, not just my own son’s.

The real thing and the selfie- Pre-K style

Luckily both of mydaughter’s were done with school and were able to attend the festivities along with my Mom and our Nanny Judy.  Unfortunately my husband couldn’t get the day off or go in late like me.  However technology rocks, he sent a video text message to Sean Eddie, so he was part of the day as well.

When I posted my facebook status, some of my friends made remarks about crying, shedding tears, etc.  My response was that I turn into a Sappy Sap at college only!  You can read-so emotional confessions of a Sappy Sap by clicking here.

Before you know it-I will be a Sappy Sap soon enough.

Very proud Mama!

I never understood how time flies, until I had my children!  I feel the same yet they keep growing up.  It reminds me of a quote from Dr. Seuss:

How did it get so late so soon? It’s night before it’s afternoon. December is here before it’s June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?
